Singing praises to the Lord

Ps 59:16,17  But I will sing of Your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love;  for You are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.  O my Strength, I will sing praise to You; You, O God, are my fortress, my loving God.

Ps 27:13,14  I am still confident of this:  I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.  Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

Ps 28:6,7  Praise be to the Lord, for He has heard my cry for mercy.  The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him and I am helped.  My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song.

When the days start out with emotional clouds and we feel like crawling back into bed, we know to seek His face and praise Him for yet another day.  Singing songs of praise, and asking for His guidance for your day can change your focus.

In the depths of worries and fears, we can be distracted from His guidance.  Singing to the Lord can refocus our thoughts and bring us back into communion with the One Who wants the best for us.  He knows our thoughts and desires for us to seek Him.  He rejoices with us and grieves with us.  He offers a strong arm to lean on when we are weary.  When our wings just don't seem to have any soar left, He is the wind beneath our wings and we can rest in Him.  He will carry us to the
heights of joy.  He will lift us above the problems and the
worries so that we can see them from a different point of view.

He hears our cries for peace and mercy.  He sees the things that threaten to drag us down to the depths.  He knows the enemy's plans and He enjoys thwarting those plans.  Sometimes, He allows us to be strengthened by the trials but He never leaves us alone in those trials.

The Lord's goal is to be with us as we walk the golden streets of the New Jerusalem.  He is waiting to hear us singing in the throne room of the new heaven.  We will see the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal.  He waits for us to eat from the tree of life.  We will see the leaves which are for the healing of the nations.  The curse that has caused all our pain and sorrows will be gone.  We will see His face and His name will be on our foreheads.  (Based on Rev 22:1-4)  He is coming and we will never again wake up with fears and pain and sorrow.  Come, Lord Jesus.
