And after you have done everything, to stand.
Stand firm then.
Sometimes, when we feel like we are beating against the air and everything we do shows no effect, we choose to take our own initiative and try our own way. We have studied to show ourselves approved. We have invited the Lord to search our hearts and see if there is anything there that should not be there. We have put on the whole armor of
God and still feel frustrated and sometimes even defeated.
This is the hardest part of the battle. The part where we must wait upon the Lord. We don't feel the wind beneath our wings. We run but we do feel tired. This is where we are to stand firm, not to compromise so we are more acceptable to the world, not to be a wave on the sea, pushed here and there by the winds of life. We are to stand on the Rock in the midst of the stream of political correctness and refuse to be swayed in the name of tolerance.
This is a battle Christians can't win. This is a battle the enemy and the Lord of Hosts will ultimately fight. (We know Who wins!) When you come to the point of no more options, stand firm and watch the Lord work wonders in the midst of an impossible situation!!
Lord, make this day the day that I don't weigh my options or look for my own solutions. Please help me this day to stand firm and wait on you to show me Your way. Thank you for Your instruction manual and for our freedom to study it openly. Thank you for Your Son who gave His all so that we can set aside our all and watch You work in our lives.
